This is effectively a repeat of the recycling fines thread. A notion is raised, and continually repeated based on nothing other than guesswork.
@NorthNineteen - This might be what you're after: http://eatseasonably.co.uk/what-to-eat-now/calendar/ December doesn't appear to be a particularly inspiring month.
No inclusion of Season, Fullback, Dotori (as mentioned above), Stapleton et al, suggests that they don't know the area particularly well.
@Arkady - in reference to a previous point I made earlier, it looks like the showflat does have bedroom window…
Went past on the 210 yesterday, and it looks more like an independent supermarket, or perhaps a Nisa, rather than a Sainsbury's/Tesco. The white shutters remind me of the Nisa in FP.
@Mirandola - interesting post, but your land uses are a tiny bit…
This the empty shop below the flats opposite The Corner Flag?
Based on what I've been told, I'm pretty certain that it won't be a Sainsbury's (the lorry deliveries being the biggest problem). Unless I've been lied to.
I received back a reply from the noise team on this, which I will paste once I get in front of a laptop, apparently the pub had a late license for that weekend, allowing it to remain open until 3am. The reply suggests that the noise team are called …
On a point briefly made earlier in this thread (searching on the new version of the site made it a lot easier to find), the little convenience store opposite Nisa has moved into what used to be the computer shop, and I think a fish & chips is go…
Agreed, seems to be faster, which is always nice.
My only very very tiny gripe is that page numbers are at the bottom of the thread, rather than at the top.
@Ali - i think the top ones might be smaller as you're effectively in the barrel roof?
@Arkady - haven't seen the flats myself, so can't comment. But in the KFH photo with the red pillows on the bed, where is that window facing?
I've just also emailed my complaint to noise.issues@islington.gov.uk , and copied in Barbara Sidnell as well.
@newboots - what are the permitted opening hours for the pub according to the license?
A friend of mine looked at the show flat, apparently some of the windows face a brick wall (presumably side of JJ building?), she told them she'll come back for another viewing if they show her one with a normal view. As far as I'm aware, she hasn't…
Yep, I'll sign whatever, and attend a meeting if outside normal work hours.
I remember when Red Rita had an application to extend their licensing, a petition letter went round asking people to object, I didn't at the time as it wasn't an issue. …
By far the worst pub in the finsbury park/stroudgreen area. Yet again a fight breaks out at half three in the morning, with dozens of drunken idiots accompanied by shrilling shouts of 'he's not worth it' spilling out onto the street. It's a shame t…
Re: Tesco, I haven't seen it since they finished those flats, but I think the problem with that retail unit is that Tesco wouldn't be able to have deliveries without blocking the road. It's also probably the main reason why a Tesco-type shop hasn't…
I've just used Jewel's Garage on Victoria Road for an MOT after doing a full service earlier in the year with them. Can't fault the service or the speed, but it wasn't the cheapest MOT's I've ever had for a car that passes every time without a probl…
LSGR is the best bit though!
Season, Petek, Dotori (at a stretch given the distance), Cats, Fullback (sort of counts) and there's plenty more where that came from!
Half right Misscara, Moon Sun Bar Restaurant signage has gone up today. Hopefully more of a restaurant than a bar, get enough bother from the N4, which co-incidentally is now called The Fonthill with some snazzy art deco lettering.
there's a florist by the bus station on corner of sgr that did a decent bunch a while back, haven't been recently. wouldn't recommend the florist next to the post office on sgr unless you want themed overpriced bunches.
