Scoffed a delicious jam filled brioche on the way to the station this morning. Lucky it is not actually on my route to work or I'd be in trouble. Great addition to the area.
@ AGDS I loved Rialto and still listen to them sometimes. They have stood the test of time better than Menswear, although I did love them deeply and totally unironically when they were releasing stuff - saw them twice on the same tour, if memory ser…
I don't think it's the first time the Gazette has turned threads from this forum into 'news' (and possibly the Hornsey Journal too - Andy might be able to confirm/deny). Really spectacularly lazy.
@ Misscara - I live quite near there so it could have been mine on an outing now that I have ousted it from my kitchen. I am pretty sure they are in my cellar and come up to the kitchen where the pipes run to the boiler, which is behind a cupboard s…

Not Trullo, but I stumbled across a lovely place, Food Lab, on Essex Road last weekend - highly recommended and great eggs florentine (muffins toasted, spinach cooked!).
I rang my electricity company but wasn't in the best of states this morning so my recollections are a bit hazy. Something about a network problem and re-routing round the bit that had gone wrong to get the power back on.
I walk to and from the station through the park - this sounds sad, but it's one of the best bits of my day. I love the fact that it's so well used in the evening - oddly uplifting to see people playing tennis, skating and just hanging about outside.
The other problem with 'anyone but the Tories' is that the nationalists would presumably press for full devolution, which Labour wouldn't have because of their electoral strength in Wales and Scotland (Tories would have a massive majority in an Engl…
