The scaffolding etc has been up for MONTHS. Maybe a year? it makes cycling there horrible, especially with the world's worst speedbump. I cycle my son to and from school off Blackstock Rd from SG, and while I generally avoid busier roads, I have had…
You can't get your argument straight if it was a joke or not; you can't say why you specified a Chinese takeaway; and you haven't said if they were the only ones involved in the court case (which would change matters). So I am afraid that your defen…
@Holborn Fox, I'm sorry, but I do think it was a joke, as the alternative is that you are seriously suggesting that the, er, products of castration would end up at a Chinese takeaway. That's hardly plausible!
As fwiw asked, why did you specify that…
I don't think the issue with delayed parcels was lack of facilities as much as it was lack of staff due to Covid. A sorting/collection office there would be convenient though.
Yes. Corbyn Street here. Apparently there have been massive staff shortages due to Covid, and packages in particular are backed up at the sorting offices. We have jjust started getting some through from early-mid December.

Hi krappy. As I understand it a lot of dark kitchens are in shipping containers or similar on industrial sites, and the working conditions are pretty horrible. Isolated, freezing in winter, boiling in summer, badly ventilated and insulated, etc.
I picked up lunch from them today. I had a lamb wrap, wife had halloumi. Very good. Reasonable at £6-7 each - but there is a 50% off opening offer, so it was about £6.50 for both, which is a bargain. It looked very quiet in there. It's worth a visit…
Yes, I passed by earlier and the signs attached were court orders for eviction. The men were from a security service, to evict, clear out and then secure the premises.
LukeG, I am not sure that I understand your point. Corporation tax is historically low. Even during the Thatcherite 80s the lowest it went was 35%, compared to 19% now. And it is paid on *profits*, not revenues. That's where the extra money is going…
