Hot Pepper Jelly
  • Hot Pepper Jelly

I love this place. Recommened my an American friend of mine, who swore by their special peanut butter, hot pepper jelly and bacon (or cheese) sandwich.

The thought made me a bit queasy, but I tried it (well, the one with the slightly less hot sweet chilli sauce) and was converted.

I've added it to the map.

  • Where has this been all my life?

Has anyone tried the PB&J sandwich shop in New York? I think it may be a chain now. They use over-sized bread slices in their sandwiches so you feel like a small kid when eating them. Fantastic!
  • OM NOM NOM NOM
  • I'd forgotten I like this place. Yummy, that's lunch sorted.
  • Just had to add my tuppence worth...I moved into SG in July, prowl this site, don't have too much to add but to say that HPJ is a wonderful place. The jumbo veggie breakfast is fantastic, and the mocha is one of the best I've had in London, rich chocolate and coffee taste.
I had a slice of their chocolate cake last time I was in, one of the cooks (owners?) said it was her Mum's recipe, so I'd just like to finish by saying I'd like to date her Mum.
  • Yes, but it's in Crouch End, and that's a l-o-o-n-g bus ride away
  • or a looooooong walk if you wanna get an appetite going (recommended)
  • we always walk it, the walk back burns off a few calories

  • Mrs R introduced me to the PB&J with smoked mozzarella and I too was instantly converted. it's now definitely our favourite sandwich. So damn good. I've rarely ordered anything else there.
  • Really glad you like this place as it's run by a good friend of mine and her sister.
