Went along to the We *heart* Sundays on Sunday evening at the World's End to see a fof playing as part of a regular free acoustic night.
Wasn't very hopeful of the atmosphere as Arsenal were at home, but thankfully they got humped so everyone was very downbeat and quiet-ish. They curtained off the back-room area and put the lights down, and though the atmosphere isn't particularly intimate (the stage is massive for solo folkies), it was a pretty pleasant couple of hours. 4 or 5 people doing a handful of songs each, different styles, violinists, Brazilian flamenco(?) etc. Free sweets and potato wedges. Good sound too. Even some footy fans who got a table at the back were considerate and jolly with the proceedings, as well as being lashed. Most of the people seemed to be regulars attendee I think.
Quite a pleasant addition to Things To Do on SGR, and would recommend as a distraction from the impending Monday morning.
