This weekend I found myself in a curry house in Wimbledon Village (after a long pub crawl, cross-river nosebleed now subsiding). On ordering the 'special' curry (without asking what made it 'special' - I usually assume these adjectives mean 'hotter, add £1'), I was surprised to receive a curry with an omlette on top. And whats more, it was brilliant. Can anyone suggest any local 'specials' worthy of trial???

    I had a 'special' curry when I went for a night out in a village in North Staffordshire. Special = melted cheese.

    Had a Thai special once in Ballater served by a real Glasgow speaking Thai.
    It was a special fried vegetables which consisted of frozen mixed veg sty fried and covered in special Prawn Marie sauce which was pretty awful although I have had worse Chinese in my time
