Apparently their model is the Roundhouse is Camden, which if true, would be magnficent.

The façade makes it feel like a mini Tate Modern. And we get a nearby two-screen cinema to boot.

I'm thinking the person who wrote the article doesn't like Crouch End much either... "the space out front inhabited by skateboarders, indolent drunks and defecating pigeons", "the area is a wasteland when it comes to posh eateries and drinking holes" and "perhaps the pretentious pronounciation of "crew-shorned" will be dispensed with permanently". Bit harsh.

It's a bit of an in-joke with people who live there. It's supposed to be "Crouch End" in a Frenchy kind of accent. A bit like Hyacinth Bucket pronouncing her surname as Bouquet in Keeping Up Appearances which I watch all the time because it really knows how to stretch one joke over 72 episodes.

I read "the area is a wasteland when it comes to posh eateries and drinking holes" as being sarcastic. It really would help if people would [sarcastic]properly tag their sentences[/sarcastic].
