Nice hotel nearby?

Anyone recommend a nice hotel for 2 adults and a toddler for 4 days? Got some friends visiting and need some advice! Thanks!

Old house-mates family stayed at Raglan Hall in Muswell Hill, think it was 'ok', though they were snooty Italians and hard to please. I don't know anywhere in Stroud Green, though there are a couple of places on Crouch Hill.

I have used the Aber Hotel on Crouch Hill 3 or 4 times for friends visiting from US with their daughter.. The rooms are OK, there's only about 8 but both the ones on ground floor are are big enough for family room and there's another huge room upstairs. Reasonably priced, friendly staff and breakfast is OK too - not full English but still plenty of it - there is a good garden too.. Has bus stops right outside and handy for Parkland Walk. The stairs to front door can be daunting though.

I tried to get people into the mount view - heard fairly good things about it - but they have a minimum-stay policy which didn't suit.

@staplejack - I always thought the Shelton was a front for a brothel!

It looks so bad, with pizza menus in the window etc. Mad. TripAdvisor reviewers not pulling any punches right enough! Must be cheap as chips.
