Infamy, infamy

The news that the late, great Kenneth Williams has been awarded a blue plaque prompts me to ask:

Why is it that there are no blue plaques in N4, and who might be a candidate for one?

I think the rules are roughly that you need to have been famous in your own time and be dead for 20 years or more (hence Rambling Sid Rumpole's elevation).

I think we need plaques, I can only suggest Ho Chi Minh who allegedly once lived on Ferme Park Road, and perhaps did not always cover himself in glory.

If the authorities are not willing to plaque anyone, we may have to instigate geurilla plaques for more recent celebrity locals. (James McAvoy, Sam Fox, Dr Legge, Neil Morrissey et al).

Although I now live in N7, I am willing to spearhead one more campaign for N4.

A plague of plaques for N4!

John Lydon surely deserves a blue plaque even if he isn't dead yet (and its not like he hasn't done his best to foreshorten his own life). I'm pretty sure he was born in stroud green but can't remember which road.
And The Rainbow is also a very deserved recipient and should be memorialised for its much more exciting youth than its current incarnation

    Lydon's house:
Here he gives a tour... and meets his old neighbours. Comes across quite a nice chap too.

Andover Estate between Fonthill/Lennox & Seven Sisters?
