We have a very old arm chair which needs an overhaul. Can anyone recommend a local upholsterer? Is the chap on Stroud Green Road any good? I love the look of his workshop, really reminds me of the Ladybird book of The Elves and the Shoemaker...

I've only tried the Stroud Green Road shop once and it didn't turn out that well. Seems like there was a simple measurement mistake, which can happen to anyone - but not so good if it happens to you.

I had my sofa and a chair done at Soloman's in Crouch End. They are really good, quite artistic. Not excessively expensive.
