Now I very rarely ever buy a 'Gazette' but yesterday I picked up an Islington Gazette for 50p. It was ok. I might try a Hornsey & Crouch End one next week. I guess we have that luxury where we live.
Over lunch I thought that I might be interested to subscribe to it. Weekly local paper, 50p. Assuming one every week for 52 weeks £26 is borderline do-able. I even thought I might get a decent discount, Economist style. I think most publications reward you with a discount for subscribing. Just checked The Times and they do.
Annual cost of a subscription to the IG? £153.40. Almost three quid each. I think my Economist actually works out cheaper. WTF?
