I was wondering if anyone has had any correspondence/conversations with Thames Water about the covered reservoir and creating a meadow out of the space? I talked about it with the Lib Dems when they've been round canvassing recently. They thought it was a great idea etc, but the the individuals I spoke to had no knowledge of any conversations with Thames Water about it amongst members.
I really feel there's no excuse for not leaving it as a meadow now. I live very near it and when it's left for a few weeks I really see the difference in terms of insects buzzing in it and the bats flying above at dusk. I always find it a bit heart breaking when it's mowed.
