Election hustings at Islington Town Hall tomorrow - Tuesday 13th April, 7pm

"The Federation of Islington Tenants Associations (FITA) will be hosting a Hustings for the residents of the borough, at Islington Town Hall, on Tuesday 13th April, starting at 7pm sharp.
Confirmation of attendance has now been received from, Cllr Terry Stacy (Leader of the Lib-Dem Council); Cllr Catherine West (Labour); Cllr Katie Dawson (Green party) and Mr Richard Bunting (Conservative party). Independent candidates are very welcome to attend.
This is an open public meeting, so ALL residents of the borough are welcome to attend, and interrogate the prospective council candidates as to their intentions, and policies, in regard to the future of this borough, and consequently, our homes. Since the latest government proposals for the financing of the borough (restructuring of the HRA) is imminent, and its possible implementation will certainly effect all of the borough’s residents, it is imperative that we are informed as soon as possible with regard to this present council’s intentions, as well as the policies of any future council.
As the local council elections are rapidly approaching, this may be the last chance that many of the borough’s residents have to ask the questions that our politicians usually avoid answering in public. So please, attend and show the candidates that unless they start to listen to us —we will exercise the only power we have left— THE POWER OF OUR VOTE…!!! "
