wheelie bins, any good ideas for screening them?

The three flats where my daughter lives has 2 wheelie bins and 4 overflowing recyling boxes. Unfortunately the council does not have a wheelie bin for recycling. Any ideas for cheaply screening the eyesore which greets everyone on arrival? Have considered ways of making something with bamboo or natural material and growing plants up it, but thought maybe some gardening genius out there had already found the perfect (not to expensive) solution?

Not quite what you're after but if the recycling boxes are overflowing, maybe just call the council and ask for another one (or more)? And maybe don't leave them outside? We just take ours down on bin day.
