    I have found drivers in the area to be both courteous and understanding towards pedestrians walking on the road during this particularly icy spell.

    Fell and broke a rib within fifteen minutes of leaving work for Xmas hols. Never want to see ice again. Child then broke arm on Xmas day, although admittedly that wasn't down to ice. Perhaps we are just a very wobbly family!
