Dave's Insanity Sauce

Anywhere that sells this, either locally or in central London?

I've just discovered it after the Asda in Cambridge started stocking it just before I left - but that's a bit far to go now!

    I have no idea what the Hell this is, let alone where to find it, but I'm intrigued. Tell me more!

    I think I saw this at Borough market once and nearly sampled it.

    It's a _very_ hot chilli sauce. You certainly wouldn't want to sample it neat.

    They have a range of sauces but Dave's Insanity Sauce is the original - and hot enough that you have to add it to your food very sparingly or you'll render it inedible.

    I gather most of the subsequent sauces are _even_hotter_ which I really don't see the point of.

    @Misscara: I'll probably try and pick some up from the Asda in Cambridge some time over the next couple of weeks as I'm still up there at weekends to sort stuff out until I move properly, and Asda is only ten minutes' walk from my house.

    I can certainly pick up a bottle for you too if I do.

    BTW there seems to be a Miss Cara either currently or formerly living in the same building as me - I noticed this morning a letter in the hall addressed to a Miss Cara .

    @misscara: that mail order link ends up a bit expensive, particularly once you add in postage, so I think I shall definitely go to the Asda when I'm in Cambridge this weekend to see if can get some more there.

    Did you actually want me to get you a bottle? I'm more than happy to do so - although we'll have to figure out how I can get it to you if I can't just leave it on top of the pile of post downstairs and assume you'll magically collect it in the dead of night :-)

    Re the building yes, I got that. I was just musing that if it had been you then we could have traded illicit condiments without revealing our identities. (Sorry, it was a failed attempt at humour.)

    @Misscara:

    Well, I'm back in London, carrying a copious supply of concentrated capsicum condiments, so we should coordinate to complete the clandestine conveyance of this concoction of chillis (!).

    My schedule is probably going to be a bit hectic over the next two weeks until I've actually properly moved to London but I'm sure something can be arranged if you're keen to get it sooner rather than later.

    @Roy, are you really Chris who set up dodgy businesses at our address trading in various beauty and health products. We're still getting demands from HM Customs here.

    No, no business interests here - I just like hot food! (And, it would appear, on occasion gratuitous alliteration.)

    A rather red faced lady who collapsed onto the floor was carted out the WLM into an ambulance on Friday night. Was really impressed how quick the first response ambulance team arrived from when the call was made it was only a few minutes. The more traditional ambulance then took her off wherever .
