Hello All
On Saturday 17th September we’re celebrating our first birthday!
As is only right, we're using it as an excuse for a good old knees up! The theme is ‘Stapleton Mash Up’ – basically a little bit of everything that we think is great, so we'll have a live band, close up magic, a snuff bar, craft workshops, giant pub games and plenty more weird and wonderful side shows and attractions. For those amongst you who like a little flamboyance, we’re inviting everyone to dress up – there’s no particular theme, so everyone - staff included - can get creative! We'll probably kick the evening shindigs off at about 8.
The craft workshops will be daytime events, hosted by the ‘Crafty Pint’ people. The last couple of workshops have sold out so do let us know early to reserve your places.
Can't believe its been a year already! Thanks for everyone's support thus far, we've had a bloody good time doing it and, although we don't always get everything right first time, I like to think we've learned a lot along the way and that the pub is now somewhere for the everyone to enjoy, be you interested in food, football, knocking back pints or knitting!
Anyway, look forward to seeing you all. Any questions or suggestions do let me know!
Tom
Oh, there will be also be drinks offers on the night for Stapleton Drinking Club members among you so don’t forget to wear your badges!

The session is £15 which includes materials and will be taking place from 2pm until around 5ish. Numbers are limited and the last couple have sold out so its advised to book your place in advance which can be done through their website at http://www.craftypint.co.uk
Enjoy!

I will always think of the Stapleton as somewhere it's really hard to get a drink though. I was reduced last night to asking a relative stranger at the bar who was finally being served if he could get me one.
Sorry Dorothy if it took a while to get served, we did have more people behind the bar than usual last night but if we'd had any more then the staff end up spending more time bumping into each other than serving pints! On the whole, even on fairly busy nights I don't think anyone usually has to wait more than a minute or two to get served so do come back on a normal evening and I'm sure you won't have the same problem.
Misscara, I understand your thoughts about noise, sometimes we have it louder than other nights, generally speaking we keep the music a little quieter in the Chandelier Room, although I realise that we have the pub quiz on Thursdays which is when the Knitting Group comes in. I really will bear your comments in mind though.
Thanks all for your support, the last year has been great, and we'll do our upmost to make sure we continue making improvements and hopefully just delivering a great pub atmosphere that everyone will enjoy.
Cheers
Tom
