Book club: Italian crime fiction - Andrea Camilleri, 'The Shape of Water', Thursday Nov 17th, 7.30pm

Like a certain famous prize the Stroud Green Book Club is going for readability and so all are welcome on Thursday 17th November to discuss 'The Shape of Water', first of the Inspector Montalbano books by Sicilian crime writer Andrea Camilleri.

All the Montalbano books are quite widely available (in translation) in bookshops, Amazon and Kindle and in local libraries. I opted for mid week - shall we say 7.30pm at the Dairy?

Haven't actually read the book yet, but apparently the Inspector Montalbano books are stuffed with luscious and mouth-watering references to Sicilian food.......maybe we should make it a Books and Food discussion :-)? I think that would be very Stroud Green. OldDairy? Or maybe a different venue - one with Sicilian arancini di riso to nibble at?

i just called and the lovely adam has booked us a table in the side restaurant (the curtained off bit) so it should be nice and quiet. under the name 'book group/club'. no excuses for getting lost! see you there at 7.30.<br>

Reminder.  This is still on.   It will be a Sicilian gastro-event but of only of an extremely modest nature.
