Im not sure what you mean exactly, but it will be similar to both. We will strictly sell fruits and vegetables, a range of olives etc. Everything should be finished this week hopefully.
Popped in last night. Looking good, all the produce looks good and appears excellent value. Huge jar of sundried toms for £1.50! Nice addition to SGR.
Popped in today - looks good. Up to us to buy enough fruit and veg to keep the stock fresh I guess?

I'd say there were probably too many pomegranates for a small store in SGR, unless I'm slow to that craze.
Hi guys,
Thanks for all the comments. We have a lot more coming in as people have been requesting a few things. We now have a couple different english apples, jurusalem artichokes, shallots and some more exotics. Anything else not in the shop? Please let me know! I appreciate all comments as they will help me improve. Thanks for you custom guys, have a great day.

Oh yes,i forgot to mention, we have turkish bread now and will be getting free range farm eggs, and some feta cheese etc. There is still a lot more to come, we are just waiting on suppliers.

I didn't spot any Maris Pipers, which I would say is the king of the potatoes. I always rely on clocktower for Lime leaves (from the freezer) and lemon grass, so would be great if you have them (again I didn't look hard).
Potatoes shouldnt be a problem, we already have lemon grass, its in the fridge on the right. As for lime leaves ill have a look, the thing is im not sure how long the shelf life is as i do not use a freezer.

I was very impressed, I came in asking for butternut squash the other night but you weren't stocking it. The assistant wrote it down and the following morning it was on the shelves.

Service! Thanks.

I'd like to second @NorthNineteen';s suggestion about knowing what's in season and when. How about some simple notice in the window (like a blackboard) advertising when really seasonal produce is coming in? I always look forward to the arrival of English asparagus and beans, but I always manage to miss them.

@ActionVerb thanks for the link.

I have ordered a chalk board already the first one was too small so sent it back. British asparagus season is spring time may-june and we will definetely be stocking some. I will make sure there is a notice somewhere when it arrives, you wont miss it this time!
Awesome I am going to check it out ASAP. Do you do local deliveries? Would love to be able to get a regular weekly delivery or pop in and buy stuff but not have to carry it home
We are only delivering wholesale at the moment. It is something i have thought about, but delivering to homes would require a lot more work, workers, vehicles.etc. But who knows maybe in the future.

I think I saw a Mary Portas Queen of shops once where she saved a Veggie shop in Hoylake by getting them to set up a local vegi box scheme. It upped the turn over and saved the business. Probably a distraction at the moment while in set up mode but could increase turnover once you have settled down and understand what you business in capable of in SGR.

That was exactly the problem. I do not have a turnover yet, and we are a new business. We have a lot to do right now, so much going on. But as i have said, it is something i have thought about and indeed a very good idea, i just need to make sure the shop is doing well, that is my main priority at the moment. Now i know there are definetely people who would be interested, maybe in the future.
Hi Everyone, my first post. I've lived just off Stroud Green road for the last 20 years and was directed to this site by Chuckles. I'd like to say the new fruit and veg shop is great, 8 lemons for a quid, what's not to like. All good produce and fresh etc, just what the area needs. And for what it's worth, never had a problem at all with Virgin broadband.
Cheers,
