Housebites
  • Last night we got our dinner from Housebites. A lovely chef called Daniel Jack cycled from Stokey to bring us three course of deliciousness. How have I not heard of this before?

    This is their website: http://www.housebites.com

There are currently two chefs who deliver to the area. The selection gets bigger if you're willing to pick up the food from the chef's house, but I'm just not that motivated. If I wanted to leave my house, I'd go to a restaurant.

We had the risotto, the greens, the pumpkin soup and the chocolate cake. Everything was amazing. Generous portions. And the chef is kinda cute. Will definitely order from him again.

If anyone's interested in trying them out, let me know. They have a deal on where if you recommend a friend, both people get 30% off their next order. PM me your e-mail address, and I'll send you the discount.

  • I saw this the other day - it was in the Guardian wasn't it?

We just don't get take-away that often, so when we do I hanker after old school take-away.

  • Yep. Here's the article:

I don't know how they make any money. Three courses for two people came to around £30. The site must take a large chunk of that. If you take into account the time it takes to deliver the food, I doubt the chefs are making a decent living out of this.

Anyway, I'm happy to continue giving them my money. There's no way that I could make this kind of food in under two hours. It certainly beats yet another pizza or curry.
