Road Accidents / Injuries

edited November 2011 in About this site
Just came across this interactive map of all road accidents in UK over the past ten years.

http://www.guardian.co.uk/news/datablog/interactive/2011/nov/18/road-casualty-uk-map

Interesting that Upper Stroud Green Road seems to have many more pedestrian injuries than lower Stroud Green road. Tollington crossroads unsurprisingly seems to be our main accident / injury hotspot.

 •
The map doesn't recognise Stroud green or finsbury Park in the search bar but I don't need an interactive map to know that people are idiots. I've seen horrendous behaviour by pedestrians and drivers at that crossroads. Drivers jump the lights all the time and pedestrians run out in front of cars.

I imagine that upper SGR has more accidents because of Fiveways, where people also do irrational manoeuvres.

 • People are always distracted by the Fiveways Padlock.
