Not quite Stroud Green, but the people behind Season Kitchen are opening a pub on Holloway Road this week. The Lamb opens on Thursday (in what used to be Barcosa, number 54), promising Camden and Brewdog beers, as well as Lamb baps. Worthy of investigation, I reckon.

I cycled past it yesterday and it really didn't look anywhere ready to be opening tomorrow? Is it opening tomorrow?

ooh, been past that a few times and the redecoration was looking pretty decent. glad to hear it's the Season Kitchen folk running it.

visited the lamb last night. somewhat woozy today.

Pros:

* Great atmosphere

* Well-decorated - not too much, not too little

* Warm, comfy, welcoming

* Delicious IPA on tap, plus a decent selection of other beers

* Competent and friendly bar staff

* Music selection tasteful and never louder than background music

Cons:

* Not the cheapest boozer

I can't remember whether there were food options. There may well have been. That IPA was really very good.

I'm in there now. It's very good. only criticism would be that it needs more ales.
