<font face="Arial, Verdana" size="2">Can anyone recommend somewhere that cleans digital camera's. All my pictures are covered in a filthy layer of grime. Sounds like a dirty sensor. You could try Jacobs on New Oxford Street....<div><div><br></div><div>http://www.jacobsdigital.co.uk/t-store-London-NewOxfordStreet.aspx</div><div><br></div><div>Sometimes they have manufacturers come in for a pro day and they'll clean SLR sensors for free (if it's one of theirs).</div></div><div><br></div><div>....or if you have an SLR, you can clean yourself with a high pressure blower or 'Sensor Swabs' from Photographic Solutions + Eclipse Optic Cleaning Fluid. Fiddly though and can easily lead to a damaged sensor if your not careful.</div>

Is it an SLR/does it have interchangeable lenses?<br><br>I don't know whether one <i>can </i>clean the sensors on other cameras - certainly, doing it would be a job for a real pro (because you'd have to take the whole thing to bits), and, depending on the value of the camera, might cost rather more than a new one. That said, a sealed camera shouldn't really get a dirty sensor.<br><br>What have you been doing to clean so far?<br><br>Does the problem get worse at smaller apertures (eg f16) and largely disappear at larger ones (eg f2.8)?<br><br>I've used <a href="http://www.fixationuk.com/Fixation/Fixation - Home/Fixation - Home.html">Fixation</a> before for repairs. Very good service. Down Vauxhall way.<br>

@yagamuffin, if you look at your camera manufacturer's website, they should have a list of recommended repair places. Maybe a bit more expensive, but repairs (if it turns out to be more than just a cleaning issue) should come with a warranty.
