Local blind maker?
  • Looking for someone to make 2 "oriental " blinds ie fabric pulled up in roll from bottom from strings threaded thru two holes two inches from the top and tied to hook at side. Big shops don't seem to make this type. We have the material already. Suggestions welcome. Chang.

  • The reason shops dont really want to make them up as they dont work very well and customers complain look ok if you dont want to really use them (for show only) but otherwise not alot of use.  have you thought about having roman blinds as they are easy to pull up and down and you get to see how much of the fabric you want to.  Sorry if I have offended you but I am speaking as a professional and I do believe in telling my customers the truth, I hope in a tactful way and not hurtful.

I am looking at if from a blind/curtain makers point of view, I always think that when the blind is down and if the fabric is interesting its like having a picture hanging at the window once the sun has gone and its dark outside.

Anyway if I can help please email me or you can have a look at a small sample of my work and on tradecurtains.co.uk.  also if I can ever be of any use please email.
