painter and decorator needed
  • Hi,
I wondered if anyone could please recommend someone local with a good track record for painting and decorating? Only a relatively small, internal job.  Any help gratefully received.
    Many thanks

  • Hi, I can recommend a very good painter & decorator that I know. Let me know if still interested. www.lgcdecorators.co.uk/woodgreenpainters.html

  • I have tried to contact LGC through their website and on their phone lines but am not getting a response. Are they still around? Does anybody have any alternative recommendations?

I know Gardener Joe recommended a Crouch End-based painter/decorator on another thread but added that they were 'not the cheapest'. I'd prefer someone who doesn't need that comment!

    Thanks!

  • Hi

I just had a small job completed and can highly recommend Anthony Cahill Painting & Decorating. Located in Islington. Very reliable and professional. His contact number is 07841 531774

  • Thanks Lucile, will ring him today. I have been trying to get hold of various painter/decorators over the weekend, but they all seem to be of a very elusive and reticent ilk.

  • Hi Marquis, I just sent you a personal message.
    Cheers
    Stefano

  • Well - that did the trick. The lady that Stefano recommended is one Cloe, based locally, and I can only say she did a fantastic job. Very neat and tidy work, quick, super friendly and helpful with regards to colour choices etc. Warmest recommendations! Anybody needing a painter/decorator please don't hesitate to drop me a line. I'd love to see her build her local p/d empire!

  • Oh, forgot to mention that the pricing is more Manor House level than Crouch End.

  • Do any of these do shower tiles? Over New Year? I started today with a quick bit of harmless regrouting, which progressed (via rooting out old mouldy grout) into several tiles coming off the shower to reveal disintegrating plasterboard behind, and no more showers ... oh dear. Recommendations gratefully received!

  • Does Cloe plaster as well?
