Police close stroud green rd
  • There's a police cordon closing off a large part of SGR around Ennis rd. WPC I spoke to said that someone had been "injured" round the back of the houses on that side of sgr, and I saw another officer telling an older gent that all residents of Ennis Rd were having to sign in and out of the area with the police so it must have been something pretty serious. Amusingly, I also pay a little fracas with some sk8r dudez who tried to board their way through the cordon. After being shouted at, they complained amongst themselves about the bloody cops etc etc. Another blow for social cohesion between the authorities and the white middle-class skater community!

  • Read on Twitter that someone was assaulted so badly on SGR that they were whisked off to hospital for immediate surgery.

  • Was a stabbing near the fullback - don't know if connected to the pub. CSI-style guys at work gathering evidence all morning.

  • My friend who lives in the cordoned off zone said that police in riot gear stormed no 58 SGR at about 4am looking for the suspect but didn't find them. A witness said the stabber was a man with a pony tail. He was seen running from outside the Fulback down Ennis Rd.

  • There has also been a bollard knocked down within the cordoned off area at the top of Perth Road. I hope the police are also investigating this.

  • On the way home from FP tube around 7pm saw loads of police outside a house on SGR near Ennis road.  Door open. Presumed some serious investigation was going on into serous situation.  I just hope who ever was badly injured pulls through and isn't too traumatised.

  • I suggest you might edit out mention of a specific address.

  • A bollard knocked down?! See what happens when Ian moves away.

  • So someone being stabbed is a joke. And please don't tell me to lighten up, I've seen someone dying from a stab wound and it wasn't some film. Real life and local.  His body was jerking and pumping blood for ages.  Terrible!

  • Kreuzkav, it was Lolala's comment (and Ian's thread) I was referring to.

I don't imagine that anyone would think that someone being stabbed is a joke.
