Florence Road/Oxford Road Incident

Walking home from the station there was a load of rubbish in the road at the junction with Florence Road and two cops standing on the pavement looking like they were guarding something.</font><div style="font-family: Arial, Verdana; font-size: 10pt; font-style: normal; font-variant: normal; font-weight: normal; line-height: normal; "><br></div>

There's a guy living on Oxford Rd who has mental heath problems. Every so often something upsets him and he goes off his meds, leading to an episode like today's - v. loud music, smashing windows and chucking stuff out of said windows, self-harming. Usually results in forcible removal by police, as today, I think to hospital. Today slightly more worrying - residents in neighbouring houses were temporarily evacuated because he was trying to set fire to his flat.

There was also lots of screaming in Florence Road (junction of Lorne) yesterday morning at about 530. A big police van turned up.
