Transport seat patterns

Someone has been busy photographing [public transport upholstery](http://www.flickr.com/photos/ludwig/sets/72157594393043457/). It'll come as no suprise to Andy, having to work with me on designs from time to time, that I don't like busy patterns. I've come to the conclusion we always end up with these busy eyesores for seats as it hides the dirt well. What other reason could there be? Timmy Mallet:  A london bus seat:

It has the 'Magic Eye' effect on intoxicated youths, those dolphins and ice creams leaping out at them keeps their brains nicely fried until they get home.

I think that you don't notice the dirt on an asymettrical pattern. If it all looks like vomit, you won't notice the vomit.
