Goose in my front garden Tollington Park

Hi, Guys. <br><br>I just came home to find a goose sitting in my front garden. It's calm and seem healthy and fine, and at the moment, is merrily eating away at the grass, but I can't help but worry that it might just walk into the road and get killed.<br><br>Called the RSPCA who didn't have an option. Anyone know what to do? Should I worry or not? I've never seen geese or ducks sitting in our garden. <br>

Roast potatoes are delish with goose fat. How about getting in touch with the park? It's probably one of theirs. Or the RSPB?

The park is not locked at night, only the gates that cars use. Anyway, that won't trouble the goose, it will fly over the gates.

Cheers, Misscara and Annie. I don't know much about geese and I've never seen them here. Hope it will just fly off when it had enough time off the other park animals. It's quite a cutie and not very shy at all. In fact it's quite curious. Was just wondering if it came here by accident. <br>

There are hundreds of geese on the lake in Finsbury Park. It's probably just stopped off on its way.

I know it probably belongs to FP, just wasn't sure if there's a need to worry. It seems happy enough to be in our garden. Just hope it'll get back to FP in one piece and that your man doesn't come and catch it to shove it in the oven. :-)<br>

It's okay. I've calmed down now that I know the little one will be fine. I just can't help but worry about an animal that suddenly appears where it's not normal (for me) to see it. Foxes, yes, but geese, I've never seen here.<br>I 'rescued' a pigeon as a child when I thought it was hurt. Marched to the police to get them to help me. See? Many moons later and I'm still concerned. :-) Better be safe than sorry, methinks.<br>

It's a Canada Goose. It was probably just on it's way somewhere for food, got tired so landed and then found your lawn quite tasty. It'll leave when it's done.
