Book Club Christmas meeting/dinner: 11th December

We decided the next book should be short, so we've gone for the very slim indeed '<a href="http://www.themanbookerprize.com/books/testament-mary">The Testament of Mary</a>' by Colm Tóibín.<br>Jesus, Booker Prize shortlisted etc., very topical (althouth possibly more suited to Easter but never mind). It's available in paperback, Kindle, library book, audiobook narrated by Mother Meryl Streep...<br><br>I set up a Doodle to help decide the date to try to accommodate everyone. Make sure you expand the survey to get all the options. I used to be in a book club back home but not joined one here. Assuming you're open to new members will it be OK to jump in on this or best to wait until after Christmas?

Absolutely join in for the next meeting @PeterCrumb, we have had two new people join over the last few meetings so it's not exactly as though we're a fixed group. Let us know if you're planning to come by filling in the Doodle form and then we can book you in for dinner.<br>

11th is so far the only day that everyone can do so I might just go for that now and say sorry to the people who haven't got to fill in the poll yet ( @Charlo hope you can still make the 11th).<br>Hope this has been an alright way to sort it out.<br><br>I'll change the title accordingly. Maybe @Jenny you can book a table for ~8 to get our foot in the door and we can increase if necessary!<br><br>New people still welcome.<br><br>P.S. I just got bought a kindle as my leaving present!!! I'm on the horns of a dilemma.<br><br>
