When we did the councillor candidate videos (for Stroud Green and Tollington wards) about a thousand years ago, we found the LDs, Lab and Greens all keen to do it. We found one Tory, who was a nice guy as I recall, but he was very obviously acting as a name on the ballot rather than actively contesting the seat.
My wife always calls me a Tory. There's a bit of me that would quite
fancy doing local politics at some point in the future, and if I was in a
suburban/rural area I'd definitely consider standing as a Tory. But I
definitely wouldn't here!
Hornsey and Wood Green Tories appear to have an Association again. I don't think they have candidates standing locally though - all their activity seems to be in Highgate.

In my 18 months of canvassing in Stroud Green ward I could count the number of Tories that I have spoken to on one hand. Considerably more Greens and UKIP.
@JoeV An independent.... Most of my views are liberal (social and economic). But in terms of being a councillor, being an independent is very difficult hence I could either align myself with LD or Con.
It does feel like the Tories don't bother too much with round here. I don't really like that, just as I'd find it pretty unsatisfactory to live in a safe Tory seat where Labour didn't even put up a candidate.
I'm a Tory. Islington side these days rather than Haringey/HWGCA. There seems to be some sort of local association but it may only come to life during campaigns. Labour are entrenched in both boroughs and there's no way to compete with the campaigning muscle of Lynne Featherstone's clone army.
It sounds achievable. You will have an opportunity to make your suggestion in a formal way very soon. A way that is EXCLUSIVE TO STROUDGREEN.ORG. Be excited.
