Was really nice meeting all of you - apologies for dashing off though. Gutted I missed the food! If you hadn't all been so late it would have felt like I was there longer...

Did anyone else show up after I left?

It was lovely to meet you all last night. Thanks for being so welcoming of someone who's only posted a handful of times. Very kind of the WB Yeats' landlord to offer us that food as well. I'd definitely be heading there for food if the Tufo team take over the kitchen. Let's hope he manages to persuade them.
I love the idea of a pub quiz team, though would most likely only occasionally be able to join.
A splendid evening - great to see you all, some of you for the first time. And what a cracking little pub with a charming manager – a real treat that Osteria Tufo provided us with a huge free platter!

We should do it again soon.
Does Haringey permit barbecuing in Finsbury Park (assuming that's what you meant)?

I thought Islington was one of the few councils that allowed barbecuing in their parks - at least I think they allow it on at least some part of Highbury Fields...
Pretty sure you can't barbecue in any Haringey open spaces (like most boroughs in London). However, as Roy said, Islington has lifted its blanket ban on barbecues, so there are several nearby options there.
