I don't think a beard is a good or bad thing. Neither is hipsterism. Lots of bearded hipsters are into good stuff. What's terrible is following a trend blindly. That could be reading the Guardian, drinking a wine because you read it was the one in a publication, going to a farmer's market in a flat cap because it's an image you bought into. Anyhow, individuality is cool. Hipsterism started off as a reach for authenticity but got incorporated into the spectacle quite quickly. I blame Steve Jobs and his apple snakery.
Beards are so noughties. I'm far more concerned about the growing trend towards the massive manucured moustache. It clearly threatens us all.<br><br>I also thing that this is the fault of Steve Jobs, or possibly Mark Zuckerberg. Definitely someone in the IT industry anyway.
Those pointy ones are over. <div><br></div><div>I predict a revival of the seventies and early eighties standard moustache.</div><div><br></div><div><img src="http://tomselleck.tv-website.com/images/pic_selleck.jpg"><br></div>
