BT Infinity

Has anyone else had BT Infinity installed?   Not impressed.   At present, much worse than before - although it works on laptops, none of the mobile phones will connect and have to rely on data.     This should not happen.   More fresh hell. Any other feedback?

<p>Test the  speed by connecting your laptop dircetly to the routerand  using a broadband speed checker.  The wirless connection or a Powerline connection to the router could well run slowe that the BT line so they are a bottle neck on your speed. </p><p>The perception I get is that the service is worse than ADSL 2 as at least that is slower but provides  a stable connection as I find Infinty keeps droping out  but comes back just as I am  about to call BT. </p><p>Strange why the mobile phones don't connect via  wireless. Done a speed test and on my laptop, speed has rocketed from a measly 4mbps to a lightning 55mbps. So no issues there!<div><br></div><div>Connectivity issues with mobiles - and after all we all use them for Internet now don't we?</div><div><br></div><div>Anyway Kelly Communications (the installer) actually range me at 9am this morning in response to my bleating, so that is impressive customer relations for you, and I will be taking it up with BT later.   Hoping for a quick solution.</div>

I never understand why when people who live in the area don't use virgin. They are cheap, fast and brilliant customer service.

@Sutent - I had Virgin at my last flat and found the service awful and the customer service worse. I'll never go back.
