An Italian friend wants to try our signature delicacy: fish and chips. Any suggestions for the best place to take him in Stroud Green for a fish and chip lunch?
The one next door to the tiny Tesco on Seven Sisters Rd by the tube is the best for miles. Cannot for the life of me remember the name. Really, really good. I like Tollingtons and it it's very near my house but I'll walk down to the other one most often.
My favourite nearby is George's Fish Bar on Tottenham Lane. It's been a fish & chip shop since building was built in the 1890s, and still has all its original Victorian fittings.

Still, as Mr Crumb suggests, it's still inferior to pretty much any chip shop north of Oxford.

Chippie man tells me that his Haddock comes from Peterhead.

Your right about China you need to read the packaging whan you buy fish, Tescos fresh fish pie mix can be quite revealing.

Lots of the frozen does come from China as you can see in Tescos

Was wondering why Sudent makes the comments

Lots of it comes form China. Who knows what it is...
