I was there.  Good points put forward by the The Greens (Gordon Peters),the Lib Dems( Lynne Featherstone) and Catherine West (Labour).  The UKIP candidate Clive Morrison was barely coherent and the Conservative's Suhail Rahuja didn't seem to know much about the area.  He went on about a Paul McCartney concert in Hyde Park when the Finsbury Park question about too many concerts was mentioned.

We got Clive Morrison's leaflet (also barely coherent) through the door, despite living over the border in Islington North. Really bolsters confidence in the efficiency of his party.

Suhail Rahuja's (Conservative candidate) suggestion that Finsbury Park should follow the lead of Hyde Park (he's a Westminster councillor) and pull the plug on concerts at a curfew hour was hillarious.  The issue was about the over-use of the park during the summer months, especially for mammoth concerts like the Stone Roses. He doesn't seem to understand local issues.<div><br></div><div>But it's a race between Lynne Featherstone and Catherine West.</div>

<p>This was really good, glad I went and thank you for bringing it to our attention Arkady.</p><p>Green Party candidate was very impressive himself, not so sure about their policies. UKIP man was out of his depth albeit passionate and actually seemed a nice enough (if very misguided) chap. Conservative candidate played his part of pantomime villain to perfection. No chance of winning here, and knows it, clearly cutting his teeth for "better" things elsewhere.</p><p>It is indeed a straight fight between LibDems and Labour, and looks like it'll be a feisty one. Both very impressive on the night, personally I very much hope Lynne stays on.</p><p><br></p>
