    It's very useful but it's a pity that the <a href="http://www.phoenixcinema.co.uk">Phoenix in East Finchley</a> doesn't appear on the list - it's a lovely place with an Art Deco interior, a good selection of films and tea and homemade cake for sale rather than poporn and coke.

    I rented the Phoenix for my 30th, wanted to show Blade Runner but ended up showing Raiders of the Lost Ark. The people in LA who give permission to watch Blade Runner are refusing everybody at the moment. Even the BFI!

    It cost me best part of a grand and even though I filled three quarters of the place I never made all my money back on my ticket sales, so be warned. Still, it made for a great Birthday!
