Driving lessons

I realise that the average age of most people reading this is likely to be more than 17, and thus I'm unlikely to get an answer here, but it's worth a go. I've decided it's high time that I finally learnt to drive. Don't suppose any of you can recommend a good driving instructor?

My philosophy says to go for someone big like BSM.

Because if you're not satified, they have a system in place to complain about the bastards. Indies answer to no one.

I'll second Pete's suggestion. I learnt with BSM. More expensive than some but you have a bit more kudos when you turn up in one of their cars at the test centre.

Hi Colette, funny enough I am about to have my driving test. I had an american license which expired and decided to get one here. I had my first 2 lessons with BSM and have to say that my instructor was less than good. You get a block of 10 hrs for £200, if you pay by hour than it's £23

I realise I may be a bit late but I learn to drive a few years ago (I'm no where near 17 so you're not the only late starter) and I had a great driving instructor. Safeway, his name was Kevin but I lived in Newingon Green at the time so you'd need to check he comes over this way. I'm very stropy and he coped very well (and I passed!)
