I like the coffee in Remoli. They were doing a deal coffee/croissant or pastry for £3 (not sure if they are still doing it).
The croissants are delicious, proper continental.
I had a croissant from there and it was horrible, really dry. I like proper French ones made with a crate load of butter though, perhaps Italians make them in a different way. The coffee is alright, not as nice as Park theatre to my tastebuds but I am a Philistine when it comes to coffee.
Yes, the croissants in Remoli are made the Italian way, with custard or jam, as opposed to the buttery French type. Often firmer/less fluffy and sometimes with a glaze.
I have never had any sweets in Pasta Remoli, but the italian version of croissant (called cornetto) is quite different from the french counterpart in many ways.<div><br></div><div>I don't know if the dryness was given by having chosen an old one or the quality of the pastry.</div>
