<p>Thanks  Your right  on the original conversion.</p><p><br></p><p>It must just be renovations inside the ground floor flat and the outside walls doesn't take away from the red brick wall.</p>

<span style="font-style: normal;">Actually Haringey will normally tun down applications to replace wooden sash with PVC in </span><i>Victorian </i>buildings in the CA (though they are not great at enforcement where people put them in without applying for planning permission). On then other hand they have a tendency to install PVC in post-war Council housing that they own - indeed they are about to do a lot of that in and around Quernmore Road, much to the chagrin of the Conservation Area Advisory Committee.

@Arkady - is there anything that can be done if they flout their own rules, witness the profusion of aerials and satellite dishes on the post-war housing around Florence/Marquis/Osbourne Roads?
