Signs north of the bridge say the road is closed until the end of 2017. However, there's an Islington planning notice with (works phasing information) on a lamppost outside Rowan's which says the works will be complete by the end of this year.
I wonder if there are any statistics that back up what we all think about British road and public works etc. taking far more time and being incredibly badly organised compared to our rival nations?<div><br></div><div>This kind of stuff is almost comedy.</div><div><br></div><div>Close bridge for ages, cause chaos, open bridge, close bridge again at same time as forcing lots more people through it.</div>
Mind you the US might be one of the few places with worse roads than us.<div><br></div><div>What I always love is the excuses councils make about our crumbling roads, claiming it's because of bad / extreme weather.</div><div><br></div><div>Then you drive to the Alps and the roads are fine.</div>
