Picnic in the Park with Stroud Green WI - Monday 20th June @7.30pm

Our Picnic in the Park is back! This Monday we are taking the opportunity to enjoy the longest day with a short guided walk by a member of the Finsbury Park team, followed by a shared picnic. Meet us on the grass at the Oxford Road entrance of Finsbury Park at 7.30pm. Please bring something to share (whether savoury/sweet and bought/made is up to you but no need for large quantities), something to sit on, and your favourite tipple! Plates/cutlery and glasses will be provided, plus we’ll have some drinks if you’re not able to bring your own. The guided walk will be from 7.45pm and should take about half an hour. Then the picnic commences! If it’s light rain, we’ll still have the walk but return to the Hideaway for an indoor picnic! If it’s heavy rain, we’ll be at the Hideaway, Ennis Road, Finsbury Park, N4 3HD from the start. The Stroud Green Women's Institute meets every third Monday of the month. All women welcome!

  • REVISED PLAN FOR TONIGHT - The rain is supposed to calm down this afternoon so hopefully it will be a dry evening. However, it won't be fun to picnic on the damp grass so we're going to meet as normal at the Hideaway from about 7.15pm so we can drop off our picnic stuff and then leave the Hideaway at 7.30pm (so everyone must arrive before then) to head to the park to commence our walk at 7.45pm. When that's over we'll go back to the Hideaway to have our indoor picnic. Good old UK weather!!
