Not the strangest food shop I've ever been in, but it's close. There's lots of new shops opening up with not a great deal in them on SGR these days, beats the trend of those horrid over stuffed shops like X-it. It smells of a pet shop by the way, food.com, not X-it.

it's called .com food and it's across the road from petak. and it looks like it does a strong line in dried fish.

it also has Stround rather than Stroud in it's big sign, which is bound to annoy some people.

I'm always amazed when signs are misspelled. I can't imagine not checking.

My favourite misspelling is one of the convenience stores at the top of Blackstock Road (near the 19 bus stop) which sells 'diary prodacts'.

Oh no - .com food has closed by the look of it. They should be able to sell the sign to some ephemera collector.

I bought a bag on Onions there once, They were very nice and so was the man who ran the shop !

I'm reading <a href="http://www.amazon.co.uk/exec/obidos/ASIN/0715636111/twuk-21/ref=asc_df_0715636111380645">a book about drug dealers and money launderers</a>, where it says that you can't tell, they usually come over as really nice guys.

The author lives in Stroud Green, by the way.

I only this week noticed that the shop opposite the bus stop by the main park gate allegedly sells 'friut'.
