Stroud Green Community Magazine – Calling for Writers, Designers and Volunteers

We are looking for volunteers to help us produce a one off Stroud Green Community Magazine to be circulated to all SG residents. The idea behind the magazine is to celebrate the work of our community groups and institutions, to provide information about where people can volunteer and to give local people the chance to write about what they value about their area. It will be funded initially from the ward budget of the Stroud Green councillors. Our objective is however to make it self-financing from advertising if at all possible. We have funding for a Designer/Sub-editor to be paid £500. We are looking for volunteer writers, photographers and others to give ideas for and help produce the content. Please drop me a line if you are interested in helping –raj.sahota@haringey.gov.uk. There will be a get together of those interested in late January and we aim to publish in March/April. If you are interested in the role of Designer/Sub-editor please email your CV. Please note this is intended to be a strictly NON-PARTY POLITICAL project.
