'The Jumper over Grape' would be even better. @ Sutent. Perhaps a splash of rioja would be oakie dokie, but the swirling and sloshing would have me reach for The Cure.
Great, really looking forward to see that!
Clapton craft on Stroudgreen road has also a pretty good selection specialized in organic and natural wine.
I hope Oak N4 will have some good affordable bottles alongside the fancy expensive one.
A selection similar to Samples on Upper st. wood be great.
Funnily enough I noticed it yesterday as I was travelling along Well's Terrace. It really stands out on that neglected strip. Looks like they're getting ready to open.
I can second that - I was there early evening. There's a fantastic range of wine and the lower end is remarkably good value. There aren't many places you can get a good glass of wine that start in the £3 bracket!
Just checked it out. Looks excellent. Friendly and matter of fact, hopefully not going to be over-posh and price itself out of the area, like so many other start-ups. Promising - I’ll be quaffing a glass there later.
Does anyone know if they also offer any food i.e. cheese board to pair with the wine?
It looks quite nice, but it's a bit difficult to spot with the white font on the wooden sign, especially at night.
This place is brilliant, fantastic wines and welcoming, knowledgeable staff to talk you though it. I have discovered what has fast become my favourite ever wine though the owner, a very friendly Aussie from Holloway called Cameron. I've fast become a loyal customer!
Think they plan to offer nibbles if they don't quite already.
Agreed and I'm a real fan of the furniture/decoration they chose. Nice wine, the cheese/cured meat platter has room for improvement, but in general it's a great addition in the area!
We are not really ones for wine bars, much prefer pubs, but went on Paddy's night when all was green and loud and Guinnessy elsewhere and really enjoyed it. Friendly and knowledgeable and nice atmosphere, not cheap but the other day spent £6 on a pint of Blue Moon in the Blackstock!
Reviving this thread as went to Oak for the second time last night on a rare child-free evening (ours not the wine bar's).
Great selection of wines, really nice, knowledgeable and helpful staff and we also had a small meat and charcuterie platter that was very generous and fairly priced.
It really is very good and cracking place to go that's a bit different to just heading to the pub.
Park Theatre has regenerated that area very well, guess it will get even more interesting with the new station exit and masses of new people in the development next door. I hope it just doesn't end up with national chains.

Friendly staff, my Cava was nice and you can actually have a conversation (I hate blaring music in pubs/bars).
Way to go, N4!

Fairly busy too, so I hope they are doing well.
