I didnt think mono could be surpassed but this place is something else. The chelow (afghan rice) is something else. Similar price to mono but bread is better as they have a tandoor. On seven sisters road 2 mins after you turn right out of seven sisters exit of Finsbury park station.

Never tried anyway down that bit of seven sisters, they all look like fronts for something, are they actually good cause the looks sketchy as..

@andover-yo I think you may be surprised. I can especially recommend Banadaari Restaurant, the Somalian place before Fonthill Road which used to be a dimly-lit hole-in-the-wall with no visible menu - they have absolutely magical slow-cooked lamb shanks, perfect rice, amazing chilli-and-coriander sauce and free hibiscus cordial refills for I think £6.50 or some ridiculous price like that. Truly one of the best eating experiences in the area.

The Afghan place is pretty good, too.
