Sadly it looks as if Kings the baker has closed for good. I shall miss the jolly germanic brightly painted figures in the window and the horribly faded yellow lattice cake in the window. And speaking of closing down - how long is the Wigworld closing down wig sale (3 for £10) going to last?

I've bought a ginger afro wig from them before, made by "Afro de King". Amazing logo, too.

An update on the "Belgium Waffles" (sic) debacle: I succumbed to eating one the other night, and it gave me the squits. However, just prior to that I was pleased to see that on some internal signage in the waffle van, they refer to them as "Belgian Waffles". It made me feel slightly better. Also, I used to go into Kings regularly for a ginger bread man just after I moved to the area/London. One day theguy in there had it already wrapped and waiting for me. That was the last time I went there. I now feel ashamed.

The newsagent near WigWorld knows what newspaper I want when I walk in but it's taken about five years.

Lol that gingerbread man story cracked me up matt. How old are you, roughly?

The new staff in the Worlds End know what drink I want and it only took about five days. I'm not sure which is worse :S
