Exercise / Dance class for people with Chronic Pain & Fatigue

I’ve just started going to this wonderful class and can highly recommend it. It hasn’t been widely advertised so thought I’d put it on here in case it could benefit anyone else.

- Are You Sick and Tired of Being Sick and Tired?
- Are You in Too Much Pain and Too Tired to Exercise?

Dance for Health is a unique and uplifting gentle movement class, designed for those suffering from Fibromyalgia Syndrome, chronic pain and chronic fatigue, aged 14-95 and all levels and abilities. Also suitable for people who prefer to be seated or lying.

The class is delivered by Illuminate Freedom, in partnership with Better and runs from 2-3.30pm every Thursday at Sobell Leisure Centre, Hornsey Road, London N7 7NY.

First class is free! You need to book in advance by contacting Louise Dickson from Illuminate Freedom at: or by phone on: 07956 632 099. For more information also contact Louise on these details.

The class combines the principles of Contemporary Dance, Yoga and Pilates, to help gently release muscle pain and tension and gradually strengthen the muscles throughout your body.Dance for Health helps you to tune in to your breathing, strengthen your mind, and focuses on developing the muscles that help you to stand, walk around and get up and down from chairs, the bed and the floor. Our gentle movement sequences can help to reduce muscle cramps, alleviate “Bowling Ball Head”, improve your balance and coordination, and reduce the symptoms of brain fog.

You then need to pay for the class when you get to Sobell. Cost £8 for non-members of Better. Classes are included within the Better Inclusive membership (reduced price membership for disabled people that costs £19.95 per month:, or £6.40 for pay & play concessionary members (concessionary pay & play card costs £25.70 per year and is available for people who receive benefits).
