I had no idea that Chrysos was no more. I was so behind the times before I joined SGR. I thought he was just having a little holiday or a lie in each time I went past.

But this raises Some Important Questions.
What's happened to the nice man with the big buggles specs and fingerless gloves?
What's happened to his little TV which never seemed to be quite tuned in to anything?

Nomination for the inaugural 2008 SGR Customer Service Awards...

Today I needed to buy 4no. M5x8 bolts to replace a friend's stolen car stereo. I gandered down to the hardware store by Cats and rummaged through the bins. I found some bolts but they were too long. The guy behind the counter asked if I had found what I wanted. I explained my predicament and said I didn't have a vice at home to hold the bolts so I could trim them down. He pointed to his vice and said I was welcome to use it. Result.

They once let me off 10p for some screws when I tried to pay with a fiver. Lovely people indeed.

I bought two pipe stops (not sure of the size) and was told I could have a refund for the one I did not need. When I took it back it was a different guy and he would only give me a credit note. Still, I put it towards a couple of spare keys - and they gave me a discount on that to so a good result in the end.
