Stroud Green WInter Fair - Sat Nov 25th @ The Stapleton

We're back!!!

Your local Women's Institute throwing the event you wait all year for. Our fourth annual WInter Fair which this year will be held (actually like every year) at The Stapleton, 2 Crouch Hill, in their chandelier room. It's on Saturday November 25th from 12-5pm.

There will be tonnes of stalls from talented craftmakers, designers and vintage collectors. PLUS, an amazing raffle. PLUS, our legendary WI cake stall.

This year we are raising funds for Seeds, a local charity for learning disabled adults and their families and friends that meet on the first Saturday of the month at St Peter-in-Chains School Hall. With music, dance, art, crafts, refreshments but most importantly friendship and fun, it is an opportunity to come together as a community and make new friends.

This is the fourth year that Stroud Green WI have hosted the WInter Fair and a huge highlight has proven to be the spectacular WI cake stall, demonstrating that our members live-up to the WI’s reputation of being superb bakers!

Once again, the local community and businesses in Stroud Green and Finsbury Park are being incredibly generous in their support of their event and donating a fantastic array of prizes in the ever-popular raffle.

Amongst our array of stallholders, we’re delighted to be welcoming Rosalind Freeborn of Papershades (www.papershades.co.uk), who creates stunning handmade lampshades in a range of floral designs based on paper collage artwork.

Beautiful handmade glassware and Christmas decorations by Virle Acher Glass (www.virlearcherglass.co.uk).

A wonderful preserves stall featuring delicious ingredients sourced in Stroud Green and the local area by From the Larder (www.fromthelarder.co.uk), along with homemade Christmas puddings and mincemeats.

Amazingly intricate and incredibly cute hand-knitted crochet decorations and blankets by Leah Mitchell.

Scandinavian Folk Art-inspired cards and tote bags from Fran Wood (folksy.com/shops/FranWoodDesign).
This is just a taster of the stalls we will have on offer – we will also have vintage homeware, organic beauty products, and an array of other talented craft makers and designers.

The Stroud Green WInter Fair is sure to be a terrific event, raising money for Seeds. Do come and support us, have a browse and then a nifty drink at the bar to round off your visit.
